The policies of the Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi Library cover acquisition, storage, maintenance of books and documents collections, and on providing information useful for academic and research activities. Its purpose is twofold: selecting, implementing, processing bibliographic information for every purpose; promoting access to information, and use of documents on behalf of students, graduate students, researchers and teachers. The Library collection includes books, academic journals, CD-ROMs, online databases, e-journals, videotapes and DVDs. Academic unconventional materials, research, disciplinary progresses and all educational products of the University are included in the resources entrusted to the Library's care and management.
Since its establishment, the Library has integrated, in accordance with the University's strategies, the traditional criteria of storage and documentation with new information technologies to improve organizational efficiency and management of databases. Books and collections can be read and consulted in loco, and/or retrieved online through the OPAC, Online Public Access Catalogue.
